이날 이란 방송은 구금된 할레 에스판디아리와 리안 카즈박하쉬의 인터뷰를 방영했습니다. 이들은 민간인 복장을 하고 가구가 잘 갖춰진 방에 앉아있었습니다.
광고 방송에 따르면, 전체 방영분은 오는 수요일 저녁 방송될 예정입니다.
이들 두 이란계 미국인은 스파이 혐의로 기소돼 지난 5월부터 이란에 구금돼 있었습니다. 이란 사법 당국은 이들에 대한 새로운 증거에 기초해 수사를 재개시했다고 밝힌 바 있습니다.
Iranian state-run television has aired footage of two detained Iranian-Americans -- as part of a promotion for a show called "In the Name of Democracy."
The short television promotion showed Haleh Esfandiari and Kian Tajbakhsh in separate interviews -- in the first footage shown of the two since they were imprisoned in May. The promotion said a full broadcast would be aired Wednesday evening.
Esfandiari is a Middle East expert at the Washington-based Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. Tajbakhsh is a New York-based urban planning consultant at the Open Society Institute of philanthropist George Soros.
The two Iranian-Americans have been charged with spying.
The United States says the charges have no basis in fact and has urged Iranian authorities to release the two.
