이란 사법부는 이란에 구금돼 있는 3명의 이란계 미국인을 간첩 혐의와 국가 안보를 위태롭게 한 혐의로 공식 기소했습니다.
사법부 대변인은 이란 정보부가 할레 에스판디아리 씨와 키안 타즈바카쉬 씨, 그리고 언론인 파르나즈 아지마 씨 등 3명을 고발했다고 말했지만, 이들에 대한 재판이 언제 열릴 것인지는 밝히지 않았습니다.
에스판디아리 씨는 미국 워싱턴 우드로 윌슨 센터 중동 연구 책임자로 이란을 방문했다가 출국을 금지당한 후 지난 8일부터 테헤란의 에빈 교도소에 수감돼 있습니다.
타즈바카쉬 씨는 미국의 억만장자 조지 소로스 씨가 민주주의와 인권을 증진하기 위해 설립한 뉴욕에 본부를 둔 '열린 사회 연구소'와 제휴한 도시 계획 상담 전문가로 지난 11일부터 이란에 억류돼 있습니다.
미국이 자금을 지원하는 라디오 파르다의 기자인 언론인 아지마 씨는 구금됐다 풀려났지만 출국을 금지당했습니다.
세 사람 모두 미국과 이란 이중 국적을 보유하고 있습니다.

Iran's judiciary says three Iranian-Americans detained in Iran have been "formally
charged" with endangering national security and espionage.
A judiciary spokesman (Ali Reza Jamshidi) said the Intelligence Ministry filed the
charges against Haleh Esfandiari, Kian Tajbakhsh and journalist Parnaz Azima.
He did not announce any trial date for any of the three.
Esfandiari is the director of the Middle East Program at the Woodrow Wilson
International Center for Scholars, a Washington-based foundation. She has been held in a Tehran's Evin prison since May 8th, after being prevented from leaving the country.
Tajbakhsh, who is an urban planning consultant affiliated with the New York
City-based Open Society Institute, has been imprisoned in Tehran since May 11th.
Billionaire businessman George Soros established the institute to promote democracy
and human rights.
Journalist Azima, who worked for the U.S. funded Radio Farda, was detained but
released and barred from leaving the country.
All three have dual U.S.- Iranian citizenship.
