러시아는 신형 다탄두 대륙간 탄도미사일과 단거리 크루즈 미사일을 성공적으로 시험발사했습니다.
러시아 국방부 관계자들은 RS-24로 명명된 이 다탄두 대륙간 탄도미사일이 29일 아르항겔스크의 플레스테크 우주센터에서 발사돼 러시아 극동 캄차카반도 목표물에 명중했다고 밝혔습니다.
러시아군 관계자는 또 아스트라칸지역의 한 기지에서 신형 이스칸데르 크루즈미사일도 성공적으로 시험발사됐다고 말했습니다.
시험 발사 후 세르게이 이바노프 제 1부총리는 이날 시험발사된 신형 전략 및 전술 미사일이 어떤 미사일 방어망도 뚫을 수 있음이 입증됐다고 말했습니다.
한편 미국 국방부 대변인은 러시아가 유럽재래식무기 감축조약의 의무이행을 중단한다면 실망할 것이라고 말했습니다.

Russia has successfully test-fired a new intercontinental ballistic missile and a tactical shorter range cruise missile.
Russian Defense Ministry officials say the RS-24 intercontinental missile, capable of carrying multiple, independently targeted warheads, was launched today (Tuesday) from the Plestek space center in the northwestern Arkhangelsk region. It hit its target on the Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia's far east.
Russian military officials also reported a successful test of the new Iskander cruise missile at a base in the Astrakhan region.
Following the tests, Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov said they prove that Russia's weapons can overcome any missile defense system.
Meanwhile, a Pentagon spokesman says the United States would be disappointed if Russia stopped meeting its obligations under the Conventional Forces in Europe treaty.
The spokesman (Bryan Whitman) was responding to Monday's Russian Foreign Ministry call for a special meeting on the future of that treaty.
