또다른 사태발전으로 이라크 경찰은 27일 바그다드 북쪽 지역에서 무장괴한들이 고위 경찰관 2명을 살해했다고 밝혔습니다.
바그다드의 한 혼잡한 시장에서는 무장괴한들의 공격으로 2명이 숨지고 8명이 다쳤습니다. 이라크 경찰은 또한 바그다드 시내 두라 지역에서 12구의 시신을 발견했습니다. 경찰은 이들 남자 시신은 손에 수갑이 채워진 채 고문을 당한 뒤 살해됐다고 전했습니다.

The U.S. military says troops have rescued 41 Iraqis from an al-Qaida prison camp north of Baghdad.
They say some of the freed captives showed signs of torture and mistreatment. Officials say some of the prisoners had been held for several months.
In other developments today (Sunday), Iraq police say gunmen killed two senior police officers north of Baghdad.
In the capital, gunmen killed two people and wounded eight others in a crowded market. Iraqi police also found the bodies of 12 men in Baghdad's Doura district. They say the men had been handcuffed, tortured and killed.
