인도 남부 안드라 브라데시 지방의 한 사원에서 발생한 폭탄 테러 사건과 관련된 사망자가 16명으로 늘어났습니다.
하이데라바드 현지 관리는 19일 역사적인 메카 마스지드 사원 폭발로 11명이 죽었으며, 현지에서 발생한 폭동 진압 과정에서 경찰의 총에 맞아서 5명이 숨졌다고 말했습니다. 경찰은 현장에서 터지지 않은 2개의 폭탄도 추가로 발견했습니다.
사원 주변에서는 폭탄 테러 직후 치안 사태에 불만을 품은 주민과 경찰간에 충돌이 있었으며, 경찰은 최루탄과 실탄을 발사하며 이를 진압했습니다.
한편 19일 하이데라바드 시에서는 폭탄 테러에 항의해서 이슬람계 주민들이 파업을 벌였습니다.

The death toll from Friday's bombing at an historic mosque in southern Andhra Pradesh state and riots that followed has risen to 16.
Officials in the state capital, Hyderabad, said today (Saturday) the total killed in the bombing at the Mecca Masjid Mosque is 11, and the number of rioters shot and killed by police is five. Thirty-five people were wounded in the bomb attack. Police defused two other bombs found at the scene.
Police fired live ammunition and tear gas to subdue hundreds of angry, stone-throwing rioters who clashed with authorities to protests a lack of police protection at the mosque.
Reports from Hyderabad say the city's streets are deserted today (Saturday) in response to a strike called by a popular Muslim group to protest the bombing.
