The Israeli military has launched more attacks on Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip in a wave of air strikes aimed at stopping rocket fire into Israel.
At least seven Palestinians have been killed in a series of strikes in Gaza today (Friday), but militants continued to fire rockets into southern Israel, causing some injuries but no deaths.
On Thursday, Israeli air strikes killed at least six Palestinians.
The strikes come as rival Palestinian factions Hamas and Fatah battled for a sixth day in the Gaza Strip. A fisherman died in the crossfire. Clashes also erupted near the pro-Hamas Islamic University in Gaza City. Witnesses say Hamas militants abducted a journalist for the Abu Dhabi television channel.
More than 45 people have been killed since the latest round of factional clashes broke out Sunday.
