이라크에서 6일 자동차 폭탄테러가 발생해 최소한 30명의 시민들이 숨지고 여러명이 다쳤다고 이라크 당국이 밝혔습니다. 이번 사건은 바그다드 서부 상거래 중심지역인 바이야 구역에서 일어났습니다.
또한 바그다드 시내 노동부 건물 인근에서 또다른 자동차 폭탄 테러가 발생해 최소한 네명이 숨졌습니다.
또한 6일 사마라시에서는 폭탄을 실은 자동차가 경찰서에 돌진해 경찰서장을 포함해 최소한 8명이 숨졌습니다.
앞서 이라크 당국자들은 미군과 이라크군이 6일 새벽 바그다드 시내 사드르시의 시아파 거주지역을 급습해 무장괴한 8명을 살해했다고 밝혔습니다.
미군과 이라크군은 이날 단속과정에서 폭발물 은닉장소와 고문실을 발견했습니다.
미군은 6일 미 해병대원 2명이 5일 이라크 서부 알-안바르주에서 사망했으며 4일에는 또다른 미군 병사 한명이 바그다드에서 도로변 폭탄폭발로 숨졌다고 밝혔습니다.

Iraqi authorities say a car bomb killed at least 30 people today (Sunday) in a crowded Baghdad market.
They say several other people were wounded in the blast in the capital's Bayaa neighborhood.
Another car bomb in Baghdad killed at least four people near the Ministry of Labor.
In Samarra, two suicide car bombers killed at least eight people, including a local police chief.
Earlier, U.S. and Iraqi forces raided buildings in the Shi'ite neighborhood of Sadr City in Baghdad. Troops found an explosives cache and torture room and killed at least eight gunmen.
And the U.S. military said today (Sunday) that two American Marines were killed Saturday in the western province of al-Anbar. It also said a roadside bomb killed a U.S. soldier in Baghdad Friday.
