중국 북부지역에 있는 한 탄광에서 가스 폭발 사고가 발생해 광부 20명이 숨지고 10명이 지하에 갇혀있습니다. 중국 관영 신화통신은 이 폭발 사고는 산시성 린펑 시 외곽의 한 탄광에서 5일 오후에 발생했다고 보도했습니다.
신화통신은 구조대원들이 6일 실종된 광부들을 찾기 위해 갱도에 대한 수색 작업을 계속하고 있으나 짙은 연기가 구조 노력을 방해하고 있다고 전했습니다. 가스가 폭발한 뒤 95명의 광부들은 갱도로 부터 탈출했습니다.

A gas explosion in a coal mine in northern China has killed 20 miners and trapped another 10 underground.
The official Xinhua News Agency says the blast happened Saturday afternoon at a coal mine outside the city of Linfen in Shanxi province.
Xinhua says rescuers continued to search the shaft today (Sunday) for the missing miners, but thick smoke is hampering their efforts. Ninety-five miners escaped from the shaft after the explosion.
Xinhua also says police have put several of the coal mine's operators under surveillance. It says the managers had ignored an order to suspend production at the mine.
Xinhua quotes a local work safety bureau as saying the coal mine's operations were in a "mess" and under "poor management."
