국제형사재판소 수석검사는 2일 발표한 성명에서, 수단 정부는 국제형사재판소의 결정을 존중하고 두 사람을 체포할 법적인 의무가 있다고 지적했습니다.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) at The Hague (in the Netherlands) has issued arrest warrants for a Sudanese government minister and a militia leader accused of war crimes in Sudan's Darfur region.
The arrest warrants charge Ahmed Haroun, Sudan's secretary of state for humanitarian affairs (and a former minister in charge of Darfur), and Ali Kosheib, a leader of the Janjaweed militia, with 51 counts of war crimes and crimes against humanity including murder, torture, and rape.
The ICC's chief prosecutor (Luis Moreno-Ocampo) said in a statement today (Wednesday) the Sudanese government has a legal duty to respect the ICC's decision and arrest the two men.
Sudan has insisted that the ICC has no jurisdiction to try alleged crimes committed in Darfur because Sudan never ratified the convention creating the international court. In March, Sudan suspended all cooperation with the ICC after the prosecutor first named the two as criminal suspects.
