바그다드 시아파 거주지역에서 일련의 폭탄 폭발로 165여명이 사망했다고 18일 이라크 보안당국이 밝혔습니다.

카라다의 또 다른 시아파 거주지역에서 자살폭탄공격이 일어나 10명이 사망했습니다. 카라다 시 건너쪽에서 또 다른 소규모 폭탄이 터져 일어나 5명이 사망했습니다.
한편, 영국군은 이날 남부 마이산주의 보안 통제권을 이라크군에 이양했습니다. 마이산 주는 이라크 군의 전면 통제에 들어가는 네번째 주입니다.

Iraqi security officials say a series of bomb blasts has killed more than 165 people in mainly Shi'ite areas of Baghdad.
In the deadliest attack today (Wednesday), a car bomb killed at least 122 people in Sadriyah market in central Baghdad. A short time earlier, another car bomb killed 30 people in the Shi'ite neighborhood of Sadr City.
A suicide bomber killed 10 people in another mainly Shi'ite district, Karradah. Another five people were killed in smaller bombings across the city.
Elsewhere, British troops handed over security control of the southern province of Maysan to Iraqi forces. It is the fourth province to come under full Iraqi security control. The British commander in southern Iraq, Major General Jonathan Shaw, called the transfer a sign of growing Iraqi capabilities.
