이라크 수도 바그다드 시내 대부분 시아파 거주 지역들에서 15일 일련의 폭탄 공격이 발생해 34명이 목숨을 잃었습니다.
바그다드 서남부 지역에서 연쇄 차량 폭탄 공격으로 15명이 숨지고 50명이 다쳤습니다.
그로부터 얼마 지나지 않아 바그다드시내 대부분 시아파들이 거주하는 카라다 지역에서3건의 폭탄 공격으로 13명이 사망했습니다. 이 지역에서 버스에 대한 자살 폭탄 공격으로 6명이 추가로 숨졌습니다.
15일 또 다른 사건으로 두 대의 영국군 헬기가 바그다드 북쪽 지역에 추락해 병사 2명이 숨지고 5명이 다쳤습니다.
북부 모술 시 부근에서는 자살 폭탄 공격과 연이은 경찰 기지에서의 총격전에서 이라크 병사 4명이 사망했습니다.
한편 시아파 과격 성직자 모크타다 알-사드르의 정치 운동 단체는 미군 철수 일정을 잡도록 압력을 가하기 위해 이라크 정부에서 이 단체 소속의 각료들을 물러나게할 것이라고 말했습니다.

Iraqi authorities say a wave of bombings in mostly Shi'ite areas of Baghdad killed 34 people today (Sunday).
Back-to-back car bombs in southwestern Baghdad (in al-Shurta al-Rabeia) killed 15 people.
A short time later, three bombs in the capital's mostly Shi'ite Karradah district killed 13 people. There was also a suicide bombing on a bus that killed six people.
In another incident today (Sunday), two British military helicopters crashed north of Baghdad, killing two soldiers and injuring five.
Near the northern city of Mosul, four Iraqi soldiers were killed in an attack on a police base.
Meanwhile, the political movement of radical Shi'ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr says it will withdraw its Cabinet ministers from the Iraqi government to press for a timetable for the withdrawal of U.S. forces.
