이라크 당국자들은 29일 자살폭탄범들이 수도 바그다드의 시아파 거주지역과 북부의 한 마을을 공격해 거의 130명이 숨졌다고 말했습니다.
관리들은 또 현지 경찰이 수십구의 시신을 발견했다고 전했습니다. 가장 많은 사망자를 낸 공격은 바그다드 샤브 구역의 한 시장에서 자살폭탄범 2명이 자폭하면서 발생했습니다.
병원 관계자들은 30일 이 공격으로 인한 사망자수는 82명으로 늘어났고 부상자는 100명이 넘는다고 전했습니다. 북부 칼리스 마을에서는 3건의 차량폭탄공격이 거의 동시다발로 발생해 적어도 43명이 숨지고 80명이 다쳤습니다.
한편, 이라크 주둔 미군 당국은 30일 미국 주도 연합군 병력이 이라크 곳곳에서 전개된 기습작전중에 무장 전투요원12명을 체포했다고 밝혔습니다.

Iraqi authorities say nearly 130 people were killed Thursday when suicide bombers struck Shi'ite areas of Baghdad and a northern town.
Officials say police also found scores of bodies.
The deadliest attack took place in a popular market in Baghdad's Shaab district, where two suicide bombers blew themselves up.
Hospital officials said today (Friday) the casualty figures from the attack has risen to 82 killed and more than 100 wounded.
In the northern town of Khalis, at least 43 people were killed and more than 80 wounded in near simultaneous explosions of three car bombs in a crowded market.
In other news, the U.S. military says coalition forces captured 12 suspected militants in raids across Iraq today (Friday).
Meanwhile, the United States has rejected Saudi Arabia's assertion that the U.S. military presence in Iraq is an "illegitimate foreign occupation."
A White House spokeswoman (Dana Perino) said (Thursday) it is not accurate to say the United States is occupying Iraq.
