아프가니스탄 서부지역에서 경찰 차량을 표적으로 한 폭탄 공격이 발생해 민간인 3명이 사망하고 적어도 48명이 부상했다고 아프간 관리들이 말했습니다.
아프간 내무부는 1일 노동자들이 모여있던 파라시 한복판에서 폭탄이 폭발했다고 밝혔습니다.
이 공격으로 최소한 4명의 어린이와 경찰 요원 2명이 부상했습니다. 아직까지 누가 이 공격을 자행했는지는 밝혀지지 않고 있습니다. 그러나 주요 마약 밀거래 통로인 파라시에서는 최근들어 탈레반 과격분자들의 활동이 활발해지고 있습니다.
지난주 탈레반 과격분자들은 이곳에 있는 또다른 마을인 바크와를 잠시 점령하기도 했습니다. 탈레반은남부지역에서 아프간과 나토 연합군 병력을 주 표적으로 공격을 자행하고 있습니다.

Officials in Afghanistan say a bomb targeting a police vehicle in the western province of Farah has killed three civilians and wounded at least 48 others.
The interior ministry says the bomb exploded today (Thursday) in the center of the city of Farah, where workers had gathered. At least four children and two security officials were among the wounded.
It is unclear who was behind the attack. However, Taleban militants have become increasingly active in the province, which is a major drug smuggling route.
Last week, Taleban militants briefly took over another town (Bakwa) in the province.
The Taleban has focused most of its attacks on Afghan and NATO forces in the country's south.
Last year saw more fighting than any other since the Taleban were overthrown by a U.S. led invasion in 2001.
