North and South Korea are haggling over food aid, family reunions and other inter-Korean issues during the second day of high-level talks between the two countries. On Wednesday, North Korean negotiator Kwan Ho Woong opened the talks in Pyongyang by asking Seoul to resume humanitarian projects.
He did not give specifics, but experts say Kwan may have been referring to South Korean transfers of food and fertilizer. South Korea, meanwhile, is urging the North to quickly implement the nuclear disarmament deal.
The two Koreas have yet to release a statement detailing any possible developments. The high-level talks are the first in seven months.
North Korea backed out of the inter-Korean talks in July after South Korea cut off its food aid to the North following its missile testing.
