프랑스 경찰은 파리에 있는 스페인 화가 파블로 피카소의 손녀 집에 보관돼 있던 피카소 그림 2점이 도난을 당했다고 밝혔습니다.
경찰은 6천6백만 달러의 가치가 있는 이 그림들이 지난 26일 밤이나 27일 새벽 사이에 도난을 당했다고 말했습니다.
파리 경찰 조직범죄 부서에서 이 도난 사건을 수사하고 있습니다.
피카소는 입체파 예술 운동의 창시자 가운데 한 사람으로 지난 1973년 92세를 일기로 사망했습니다.

French police say two paintings by Spanish artist Pablo Picasso have been stolen from his granddaughter's home in Paris.
Police say the paintings, worth about 66-million dollars, were stolen late Monday night or early Tuesday from the Paris apartment of Diana Widmaier-Picasso.
The Paris police department's organized crime division is investigating the theft.
The Spanish painter was one of the founders of the "cubist" art movement. He died in 1973 at the age of 92.
