중국의 친강 외교부 대변인은 27일 김계관 부상이 베이징에서 중국 정부 관리들을 만날 계획은 없다고 말했습니다.
미국 국무부는 26일 김계관 부상이 이번주 뉴욕에서 미국측 6자회담 수석대표인 크리스토퍼 힐 국무부 동아시아태평양 담당 차관보와 만날 예정이라고 확인했으나 정확한 회담날짜는 밝히지 않았습니다.
한국 언론은 앞서 김계관 부상이 1일 샌프란시스코의 스탠포드 대학교에서 강연한 뒤 뉴욕으로 향할 것이라고 보도했습니다.
북한은 앞서 이달 베이징에서 열린 6자회담에서 경제원조를 제공받는 대신 60일 이내에 영변의 핵 시설을 폐쇄하고 국제 원자력 기구 (IAEA)의 사찰을 받기로 합의했습니다.

On Monday, a U.S. State Department spokesman confirmed Kim and his U.S. counterpart, Christopher Hill, are expected to meet in New York later this week -- but did not disclose a date.
South Korean media reported earlier that (Vice Foreign Minister) Kim will give a lecture at Stanford University in San Francisco on Thursday and then head to New York for a meeting with (Assistant Secretary of State) Hill.
Earlier this month, North Korea agreed to close its main nuclear facility (in Yongbyon) and allow international atomic energy inspectors in the country within 60 days in exchange for energy aid.
North Korea expelled (IAEA) nuclear inspectors in December 2002, and officially withdrew from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty in January 2003.
