이날 법정에는 폭탄을 설치한 것으로 알려진 자말 조우감도 출정했습니다. 그는 이 사건에 관련된 바 없다고 부인하며, 그는 공격 당시 잠자고 있었다고 말했습니다. 조우감은 상점을 운영하고 있었는데, 관리들은 그가 폭탄을 폭발시키는데 이동전화의 전화카드를 사용했다고 말했습니다.
15일에 처음 열린 재판에서 주모자로 알려진 라베이 오스만 사예드는 이번 폭탄공격을 비난하고, 자신은 이 공격에 관련되지 않았다며 혐의 사실을 부인했습니다.

Two alleged masterminds of the 2004 Madrid train bombings have denied involvement in the deadly attacks.
Youssef Belhadj and Hassan el-Haski took the stand today (Friday) during the trial in the outskirts of Madrid. The Moroccan men denied having any terror links.
Prosecutors believe Belhadj is the person in a video found after the attacks claiming responsibility for the bombings in the name of al-Qaida.
Also taking the stand today was a man alleged to have placed a bomb, Jamal Zougam. He denied any involvement and said he was sleeping at the time of the attacks.
Zougam ran a shop where officials say phone cards in the mobile phones used to set off the bombs were purchased.
Thursday, at the opening of the trial, alleged mastermind Rabei Osman Sayed Ahmed condemned the attacks and denied involvement.
The attacks on packed commuter trains on March 11th, 2004, killed 191 people and wounded more than 18-hundred.
