영국에서 최근 우편물 폭탄 테러가 잇따라 발생한 가운데 현지 경찰은 남성 용의자 1명을 체포했다고 밝혔습니다.
경찰 관리들은 한 라디오 방송국에 전화를 걸어 우편물 폭탄을 한개 보낸데 대해 생방송 도중 책임을 인정하고 싶다고 말한 48살의 이 용의자를 구금했다고 전했습니다.
이 용의자는 영국의 ‘정신건강법’에 따라 구금돼있다고 관리들은 말했습니다.
지난 몇 주 동안 영국에서는 편지 폭탄들이 폭발해 부상자가 몇 명 발생했습니다.
영국관리들은 이번 검거와 관련 두곳의 집주소들을 조사하고 있다고 밝혔습니다.

British police say they have arrested a man in connection with a series of recent letter bomb attacks in Britain.
Police officials say they detained the 48-year-old man after he called a radio station and said he wanted to go on air to claim responsibility for sending one of the letters. Officials say he is being held under the country's Mental Health Act.
Several people have been injured by the letter bombs in the last few weeks.
Officials say they are searching two addresses in connection with the arrest.
