미국의 크리스토퍼 힐 국무부 동아시아.태평양 담당 차관보는 9일 중국 베이징에서 기자들에게 남은 현안들은 매우 광범위하거나 근본적인 성격이 아니라고 말했습니다. 그는 또 이들 현안들이 합의를 무산시킬만큼 중대한 장애요인들로 생각하기는 어렵다고 말했습니다.
힐 차관보는 그러나 관련국들은 협상을 계속 지켜봐야할 것이라고 덧붙였습니다.
제5차 북핵 6자회담 3단계 회의가 베이징에서 8일 개막한 가운데 미국과 북한은 9일 양자회담을 가졌습니다.
관련국들은 또 다자간 회담을 열어 북한의 비핵화 이행조치들을 담은 합의문 초안을 논의했습니다.

The chief United States envoy to the six-party talks on North Korea's nuclear program says negotiators are close to reaching a deal, and that only one or two sticking points remain.
Speaking with reporters today (Friday) in Beijing, Christopher Hill said the remaining issues are not really broad or fundamental.
He also said that it is hard to think the issues would be dealbreakers. But he added that negotiators would just have to wait and see.
The United States and North Korea held a bilateral meeting today. Group talks also were held as negotiators discussed a draft accord that outlines steps North Korea can take to disarm.
