중국 공산당 정치국의 루오 관 상무위원은 국가 안정의 향상을 위해 지방 당국은 사회 불안을 야기하는 행동에 대해 더욱 강력한 조처를 취하라고 촉구했다고 중국 관영 신화통신이 보도했습니다.
신화통신은 간 루오 위원이 동부 산둥성을 방문해 가진 연설에서 지방정부에 그들이 당면한 주요 경제 문제와 사회 갈등을 해결해야 한다고 촉구했다고 전했습니다.
중국 최고인민법원의 수석대법관인 쟈오 양 법원장 역시 8일 중국 법원에 사회 안정을 저해하는 시위와 폭동 등에 대해 더욱 관심을 갖고 대처할 것을 촉구했습니다.
신화통신에 따르면 쟈오 최고인민법원장은 중국 법원이 국가 치안 보호를 위해 심각한 폭력 범죄에 연루된 사람들에 대해 더욱 강력한 처벌을 내리라고 말한 것으로 알려졌습니다.

Chinese state media say a senior government official has called on local authorities to work harder against social unrest so as to improve national stability.
The Xinhua news agency says Luo Gan urged local governments to resolve major economic problems and social conflicts at their source. The Communist Party Politburo member was speaking on a tour of Shandong province, in eastern China.
China's top judge, Xiao Yang, also is urging Chinese courts to pay more attention to "mass incidents" that threaten social stability - a euphemism for protests and riots.
Xinhua quotes Xiao as saying Chinese courts should impose harsh punishments on people convicted of serious violent crimes to help safeguard national security.
Xinhua says 276-thousand people were found guilty last year of serious crimes such as murder, kidnapping and rape.
