베트남 정부는 오는 2010년까지 베트남 항공을 포함한 50개 이상의 국영 회사를 부분적으로 민영화할 계획이라고 밝혔습니다. 베트남 항공은 2008년에 부분적으로 민영화될 예정입니다.
뉴옌 탄 동 총리는 지난주 이 같은 내용이 담긴 정부 계획안을 승인했으나 베트남 정부는 이 방침을 2일 발표했습니다.
베트남은 지난 1990년 이전에 1만 2천여개의 국경기업을 운영했으나 현재는 이 보다 훨씬 적은 2천여개만을 유지하고 있습니다.
베트남 정부는 세계무역기구(WTO)에 가입과 함께 국영 회사들의 국제 경쟁력을 강화를 위해 민영화를 더욱 확대할 것이라고 다짐했었습니다.
