레바논의 푸아드 시니오라 (Fuad Siniora) 총리는 회교 무장단체 헤즈볼라 지도자 하산 나스랄라 (Hassan Nasrallah)의 최근 발언들을 비난하고 나스랄라가 쿠데타를 일으키려하고 있다고 비난했습니다.
시니오라 총리는 8일 중무장된 베이루트의 총리관저에서 이같이 말했습니다. 시니오라 총리는 헤즈볼라 지지자들이 베이루트에서 일주일전 총리의 퇴진을 요구하면서 시위농성을 시작한 이후 총리관저에 갇혀지내고 있습니다.
시니오라 총리는 시위농성이 어떠한 결과도 낳지 못할 것이라고 말했습니다.
헤즈볼라 지도자 나스랄라는 7일 비공개 장소에서 TV로 중계된 연설을 통해 베이루트에 운집한 군중에게 미국의 지원을 받고 있는 레바논 정부가 야당에 보다 많은 권력을 할당할 때까지 거리 투쟁을 계속할 것이라고 말했습니다.

Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Siniora has denounced remarks by Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and accused him of threatening a coup.
Mr. Siniora spoke today (Friday) from his heavily fortified compound in central Beirut, where he has been holed up since Hezbollah-led protests in the capital began a week ago.
The prime minister said the demonstrations will not produce results.
Hezbollah leader Nasrallah addressed a large crowd in Beirut Thursday via video link from an undisclosed location. He said mass protests will continue until Lebanon's U.S.-backed government gives the opposition a greater voice.
The leader of the Shi'ite militant group urged his followers to return to the streets to increase pressure on the prime minister, but ruled out the use of force.
The prime minister has rejected opposition demands for more power, and has vowed to remain in power.
