러시아의 세르게이 이바노프 외무장관은 안보리 상임 이사국 등 여섯 나라 대표들이 오는 5일 회담을 가질 예정이라고 말했습니다.
프랑스 외무부도 이란 문제에 관한 6자회담이 며칠 안에 열릴 예정이라고 말했으나 회담 장소는 결정되지 않았다고 밝혔습니다. 이바노프 장관은 안보리 결의안의 목적이 이란을 제재하는 것이어서는 안된다고 지적했습니다.
러시아는 중국과 함께 이란에 대한 강력 제재조치는 역효과를 초래할 것이라는 이유로 이에 반대하고 있습니다.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Ivanov says diplomats from six world powers will meet Tuesday to discuss a proposed U.N. Security Council resolution on Iran's nuclear program.
France's Foreign Ministry has confirmed that a six-party meeting on Iran will take place in the coming days, but the venue has not been finalized.
Ivanov says the goal of a U.N. resolution should not be to punish Iran. Russia and China have resisted calls for strong sanctions against Tehran, arguing such a move would be counter-productive.
