파키스탄과 중국은 통상과 투자를 확대하기 위해 5개년 자유무역협정을 체결했습니다.
이 협정은 24일 파키스탄의 수도 이슬라마바드에서 중국의 후진타오 국가주석과 페르베즈 무샤라프 파키스탄 대통령사이의 정상 회담중에 체결됐습니다.
두나라 관계관들은 이번에 체결된 협정으로 중국과 파키스탄간 교역이 한해 수십억 달러로 증대될 것이라고 말했습니다.
이번 정상 회담에서 후 주석은 핵에너지 개발 지원 협력을 계속하고 파키스탄과 인도간 관계 증진을 위한 건설적인 역할을 계속 담당하는 것등을 포함해 파키스탄에 대한 새로운 정치적 경제적 지원도 다짐했습니다.
후진타오 주석은 25일 동부 라호레 시를 방문해 기업계 지도자들을 만날 예정입니다. 후주석은 인도 방문에 이어 24일 이슬라마바드에 도착했습니다.

Pakistan and China have signed a five-year free trade agreement aimed at increasing business between the two allies.
The agreement was signed today (Friday) in Islamabad during a meeting between Chinese President Hu Jintao and his Pakistani counterpart, Pervez Musharraf.
Officials from both sides say the new pact could boost trade between China and Pakistan by several billion dollars a year.
During the talks, Mr. Hu also pledged new political and economic support for Pakistan, including continued help with nuclear energy development and a constructive role in improving relations between Pakistan and India.
The countries are also expanding their long-standing collaboration on military technology.
On Saturday, Mr. Hu will head to the eastern city of Lahore to meet with business leaders. He arrived in the Pakistani capital on Thursday following a visit to India.
