이라크에 주둔중인 미군도 이번 달에 올 해 들어 가장 많은 96명의 전사자가 발생했습니다.
한편 도날드 럼스펠드 미국 국방장관은 26일 워싱턴에서 가진 기자회견에서 이라크 지도자들이 올해 말까지 국가 상황에 대한 포괄적 진전 계획을 세우는 데 동의하지 않았다고 말했습니다. 럼스펠드 장관은 또 이라크 내 미군 주둔 시한을 정하도록 요구해서는 안된다고 말했습니다.
