푸틴 대통령은 약 세시간동안 전국에 방영된 텔레비젼 대담 프로그램에서 이같이 말했습니다.
푸틴 대통령은 퇴임후 계획을 자세히 밝히지않았으나 계속해서 러시아 국민들의 신뢰를 받을 수 있길 희망한다고 말했습니다.
푸틴 대통령은 또한 러시아 금융인 안드레이 코즐로프 씨와 언론인 안나 폴리트콥스카야 씨를 살해한 범인들이 반드시 법의 심판을 받도록 하겠다고 다짐했습니다.
푸틴 대통령은 코즐로프 씨 살인 혐의자 세명이 체포됐다고 덧붙였습니다.
푸틴 대통령은 또한 러시아 경제가 한 해 7퍼센트 성장을 보이고있다고 지적했습니다.

Russian President Vladimir Putin says he expects to retain political influence after stepping down at the end of his final term in 2008.
Mr. Putin spoke today (Wednesday) during a nearly three-hour televised question-and-answer session broadcast nationwide. He did not offer details of his plans after leaving office, but expressed hope he will continue to hold the trust of the Russian people.
The Russian leader also vowed that the killers of Russian banker Andrei Kozlov and acclaimed journalist and Kremlin critic Anna Politkovskaya will be brought to justice. He noted that three suspects in the Kozlov murder are in custody.
Mr. Putin also trumpeted the Russian economy, saying it is growing at a nearly seven percent annual growth rate. That allowed Moscow to pay down its 24 billion dollar Soviet-era debt to the Paris Club of creditors earlier this year.
