일본 당국은 중국과 영유권 분쟁이 벌어지고 있는 섬에 중국 시위대의 상륙을 허락하지 않을 것이라고 밝혔습니다.
야스히사 시오자키 일본 정부 대변인은 자국 해상방위대가 일본명 센카쿠, 중국명 댜오위다오인 이 섬에 중국 시위대의 상륙을 불허할 것이라고 23일 발표했습니다.
시위대 25명은 22일 홍콩을 출발했으며, 25일에 섬에 도착할 예정입니다.
이 섬은 대만에서 동쪽으로 200킬로미터 떨어진 동중국해 상에 있으며, 고기잡이 조업권과 함께 석유 매장 가능성도 제기되고 있습니다. 일본과 대만, 중국이 각각 이 섬의 영유권을 주장해왔습니다.

Japanese authorities have vowed to prevent Chinese protesters from landing on a group of disputed islands in the East China Sea.
A Japanese government spokesman (Yasuhisa Shiozaki) Monday said Japan's coast guard will not allow a group of about 25 protesters to land on the islands, known as Senkaku in Japanese and Diaoyu in Chinese.
The group set sail from Hong Kong Sunday and is expected to arrive at the islands Wednesday.
Located in the East China Sea, some 200 kilometers northeast of Taiwan, the islands provide access to rich fishing grounds and possible oil deposits. They have been claimed by Japan, Taiwan and China.
