미군 당국은 성명을 통해 미군들이 발라드 시내를 순찰하면서 더 이상의 유혈 폭력사태가 발생하지 않도록 이라크 군인들을 지원하고 있다고 말했습니다.
연합군은 또 , 발라드 마을에서 시아파 19명이 사망한 사건에 개입한 혐의가 있는 두명의 이라크 경찰관을 구속했다고 성명은 밝혔습니다 한편 미군당국은 이라크에서 15일 5명의 미군이 사망했다고 발표했습니다. 이로써 이달들어 이라크에서 사망한 미군은 58명으로 늘어났습니다.

On Monday, the U.S. military announced the deaths of five American servicemen killed in attacks in Iraq on Sunday.
This raised the U.S. death toll in Iraq since the beginning of the month to 58.
