Brazilian aviation officials say they have located a Gol airlines plane that went missing Friday over the Brazilian Amazon after colliding with a smaller executive jet.
Authorities say the plane was found in the nation's Mato Grosso state, about 17-hundred kilometers northwest of the city, Sao Paulo. It is not clear yet whether any of the 155 people on board survived.
Authorities say Gol Flight 1907 disappeared from radar Friday after leaving the city of Manaus in the heart of the Amazon rain forest for the Brazilian capital, Brasilia.
News reports say the smaller jet was able to land after the collision with the Gol plane.
