인도네시아 보건부 관리들은 13일 세계 보건 기구의 검사 기준이 변경됨에 따라 이소년의 이름도 인도네시아의 조류 독감 사망자 명단에 추가됐다고 말했습니다. 보건부 관리들은 미국 질병 통제 및 예방 센터가 지난 3월 자카르타의 한 병원에서 사망한 소년의 죽음이 H5N1 바이러스에 의한 것임을 확인했다고 말했습니다.
인도네시아는 지난 2천 3년 역내에 조류 독감이 발병한 이래 가장 많은 사망자수를 기록하고 있습니다.

Indonesian Health Ministry officials say a five-year-old boy who died in March has been declared the country's 49th bird flu death.
Officials said today (Wednesday) the victim was added to Indonesia's list of bird flu casualties months after his death because of a change in the World Health Organization's testing guidelines.
Health officials say the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (in the U.S. state of Georgia) confirmed the boy died of the H5N1 virus in March in a Jakarta hospital.
Indonesia has recorded the highest number of bird flu deaths since a regional outbreak began in 2003. At least 143 people have died from the disease worldwide.
