미국은 유엔 안전보장이사회가 빠르면 다음주중에 이란 핵 계획과 관련해 이란에 제재조치를 가하기위한 결의안 논의에 들어갈 것으로 예상하고있습니다.
미국의 니콜라스 번스 정무담당 차관은 8일 베를린에서 6개국 대표들이 오는 11일에 추가협의를 가질 이라고 말하고 그뒤 유엔 안보리에서 넘겨 결의안 초안을 마련하도록 해야한다고 말했습니다.
번스 차관은 하루 전인 7일 베를린에서 영국, 프랑스, 러시아, 중국 등 다른 유엔 안보리 상임이사국 대표들, 그리고 독일대표와 함께 이란 핵 문제를 논의했습니다. 미국은 이번 회담이 생산적이었다고 말하고있으나 아직까지 각국 대표들이 이란문제 대처방식에 관해 합의를 이루지 못하고있다는 언론 보도가 나오고있습니다.
한편 이란 고위 성직자인 아야톨라 에마니 카사니 씨는 8일 수도 테헤란에서 열린 기도회에서 설교도중 만약 이란에 제재조치가 가해진다면 세계는 고통을 겪게될 것이라고 말했습니다.

The United States says it expects the U.N. Security Council to begin working on a resolution to sanction Iran over its nuclear program as early as next week.
U.S. Undersecretary of State Nicholas Burns told reporters in Berlin today (Friday) diplomats from six world powers will have more discussions on the issue Monday. After that, Burns says work on a draft resolution should be moved to the Security Council.
Burns discussed the Iran nuclear issue in Berlin Thursday with diplomats from Britain, France, Russia and China (the other permanent U.N. Security Council members), plus Germany.
The United States said the talks were productive. But media reports suggest not all diplomats agreed on how to proceed with Iran.
In Tehran, a senior Iranian cleric warned that the world will suffer if Iran faces sanctions. Ayatollah Emami Kashani delivered the warning in a Friday prayer sermon.
