Several hundred anti-war protesters have rallied near where President Bush is vacationing in (the northeastern U.S. state of) Maine.
The peace activists gathered Saturday in the town of Kennebunkport, near the Bush family's century-old summer home on the northeastern U.S. coast.
The protesters are aligned with peace activist whose son was killed while serving in the U.S. military in Iraq. She has gained international recognition for shadowing the president at his ranch in (the southern U.S. state of) Texas.
Mr. Bush engaged in his favorite sport of mountain biking Saturday, and fished from his father's boat off the Maine coast. The president is scheduled to return to Washington today (Sunday).
