중국을 강타한 태풍 중 50년 만에 가장 강력한 태풍인 사오마이로 인한 사망자 수가 적어도 114명으로 증가했습니다.
중국 관영 신화통신은 태풍 사오마이가 지난 10일 상륙해 해안지방인 저장성과 푸젠성을 강타한 이후 적어도 183명이 실종됐다고 보도했습니다.
당국자들은 적어도 4백만 명이 올해 중국에 상륙한 8번째 태풍인 사오마이의 영향을 받았다고 말했습니다. 또한 사오마이는 14억 달러 이상의 경제적 손실도 초래했습니다.

The death toll from the strongest typhoon to hit China in half a century has risen to at least 114.
China's official Xinhua news agency also says at least 183 people remain missing since Typhoon Saomai made landfall Thursday, ripping through the coastal provinces of Zhejiang and Fujian.
Authorities say at least four million people have been affected by the typhoon-- China's eighth this year. The storms have caused more than one-point-four billion dollars in economic losses.
