The official Bernama news agency quotes Hamid Albar as saying members of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (O.I.C.) should not allow Israel to act with impunity in Lebanon.
Malaysia's government is the current chair of the O.I.C., which groups 57 Muslim-majority nations.
The Malaysian foreign minister also said today (Tuesday) that any actions taken by Muslim countries to stop attacks by Israel should conform to international norms and principles.
