한편, 레바논의 후아드 시니오라 총리는 아랍 외무장관들과 유엔 결의안에 관한 비상 회담을 가졌습니다.
시니오라 총리와 아랍 지도자들은 유엔이 이스라엘 군의 즉각적인 철수를 요구해 주기를 원하고 있고, 그 같은 우려를 전달하기 위해 아랍 에미리트 연합이 이끄는 대표단을 유엔 안전보장 이사회에 파견할 계획입니다.

President Bush says the United States and its allies are working to quickly get a U.N. resolution to end Israel-Hezbollah violence.
He says diplomats are working on a comprehensive, lasting solution with twin resolutions to stop the violence and restore Lebanon's sovereignty. He says the resolutions will also address the root cause of the violence, which he says is Hezbollah acting as a state within a state in Lebanon.
Mr. Bush, speaking at his Texas ranch with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, says he recognizes that Israel and Lebanon government object to parts of the proposal.
Rice says she believes the resolutions are a reasonable basis to move forward on.
Meanwhile, in Beirut, Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Siniora met with Arab foreign ministers and agreed to push the U.N. to call for the immediate withdrawal of Israeli forces. They are sending a delegation led by the United Arab Emirates to the Security Council to relay their concerns.
