31일 오전 예루살렘에서, 미국의 콘돌리자 라이스 국무장관은 이스라엘과 헤즈볼라 게릴라 단체 간의 정전 합의가 이번 주 안에 타결될 수 있을 것으로 믿고 있다고 말했습니다. 라이스 장관은 이번 주에 정전에 관한 결의안과 레바논을 위한 국제평화안정유지군 창설을 요청할 것이라고 말했습니다.

President Bush has again called for a lasting, sustainable cease-fire in the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah guerrillas in Lebanon.
Mr. Bush said during a visit to Miami, Florida today (Monday) that Iran and Syria must end their support for terror groups, such as Hezbollah.
However, the president continues to resist growing international calls for an immediate cease-fire, and avoided criticizing Israel.
Earlier today in Jerusalem, U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said she believes a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah can be reached this week.
Rice said she will call for a U.N. resolution this week on the ceasefire and establishment of an international stabilization force for Lebanon.
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki has begun a visit to Lebanon to meet with top officials. He arrived over land from Syria.
