이 법안은 미국이 인도에 대한 핵기술의 판매 재개를 허용하고 있습니다. 인도에 대한 핵기술 판매는 지난 1974년 인도가 처음으로 핵실험을 단행하면서 중단됐었습니다.

Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh says his country will not accept possible changes by the U.S. Senate to legislation allowing the United States to share civilian nuclear technology with India.
Mr. Singh's comments today (Thursday) followed Wednesday's approval by the U.S. House of Representatives of a bill to allow for the nuclear cooperation. The Senate is considering its own version of the bill.
The proposed law would allow the United States to resume selling nuclear technology to India. Sales were stopped in 1974 after India conducted its first nuclear weapons test.
Under the deal, India would be required to open its civilian nuclear plants to inspections by the International Atomic Energy Agency.
India has not signed the Non-Proliferation Treaty, which holds that only countries that renounce nuclear weapons qualify for civilian nuclear assistance.
