India's military has test-fired a surface-to-air missile from a site in the eastern coastal state of Orissa.
Indian officials say the short-range "Trishul" missile was launched today (Sunday) from a test-range at Chandipur-on-sea, near the town of Balasore.
The Trishul is one of India's most sophisticated, domestically produced missiles. Authorities say it is capable of carrying a 15-kilogram warhead a distance of up to nine kilometers.
