인도의 만모한 싱 총리는, 러시아에서 회담중인 G-8 회원국 지도자들에게 테러를 용납하지 않는 ‘제로 ‘ 정책을 채택하도록 촉구할 것이라고 말했습니다.
싱 총리는 16일, G-8 정상회의가 열리고있는 러시아 쌍 페테르부르크로 떠나기에 앞서 발표한 성명에서, 테러가 일어나는 장소나 테러주의자들의 목적이 무엇이건에 상관없이, 또 어느 나라나 단체가 이들을 부양하고 지원하는가에 상관없이, 국제사회는 반드시 테러주의자들을 고립시키고 비난해야 한다고 말했습니다.
싱 총리는, 지난주 인도의 금융중심지인 뭄바이와 인도령 카시미르 지방에서 테러사건이 발생한데 따라 이같은 내용의 성명을 발표했습니다.
파키스탄은, 최근 뭄바이에서 발생한 열차 폭탄테러 사건의 범인들이 외국 세력의 지원을 받았다는 싱 총리의 주장을 거부한 바 있습니다.

Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh says he will urge leaders of the Group of Eight nations meeting in Russia to adopt a policy of "zero tolerance" towards terrorism.
In a statement released before he left today (Sunday) for the G-8 meeting in St. Petersburg, Singh said, "The international community must isolate and condemn terrorists wherever they attack, whatever their cause and whichever country or group provides them sustenance and support."
Singh's comments follow attacks in India's financial capital of Mumbai (previously known as Bombay) and Indian-administered Kashmir last week.
Pakistan has rejected allegations by the prime minister that the bombers responsible for seven deadly train blasts in Mumbai last Tuesday were supported by elements from across the border.
