세계 두번째 부자인 미국의 투자가 워렌 버펫씨가 자신의 재산 거의 대부분을 세계 최고 부자인 빌 게이츠씨의 자선재단에 기부하기로 했습니다.
버펫씨는 앞으로 몇 년 간에 걸쳐 3백억 달러를 전세계 질병과 가난 퇴치를 목적으로 설립된 `빌과 멜린다 게이츠 재단'에 기부하겠다고 말했습니다.
버펫씨는 또 다른 재단에도 70억 달러를 기부할 것이라고 밝혔습니다. 블룸버그 통신은 버펫씨의 기부는 역사상 최대 규모라고 전했습니다.

Bill and Melinda Gates say they are "awed" by the gift and called Buffett an important influence on their own philanthropy.
A news report (on Bloomberg) says Buffett's gift is the largest charitable commitment in history.
Just one week ago, Bill Gates said he would soon leave his full-time role at Microsoft to concentrate on philanthropic work.
