팔레스타인의 집권세력인 하마스 산하 무장단체인 알-카삼 여단은 이스라엘의 공격으로 최소한 10명의 팔레스타인인들이 사망한 직후 이스라엘에 대한 공격을 재개하겠다고 말했습니다. 알-카삼 여단은 이스라엘과의 1년에 걸친 비공식 휴전을 취소할 것이라고 밝혔습니다.
앞서 팔레스타인 관리들은 이스라엘 함정들이 9일 오전 가자지구의 지중해 연안 해변에 포격을 가해 어린이 3명을 포함해 소풍 나온 팔레스타인인 최소한 7명이 사망했다고 말했습니다.
관리들은 또 가자지구에서 이스라엘의 두 차례 공습으로 최소한 3명의 팔레스타인 민병대원이 사망했다고 말했습니다. 이 공격으로 인한 부상자도 30여명에 이릅니다.
한편 마무드 압바스 팔레스타인 자치정부 수반은 이번 공격은 대량학살이라면서 국제사회가 이스라엘을 저지할 것을 촉구했습니다.

The armed wing of the Palestinian governing group, Hamas, says it will resume attacks on Israel after Israeli strikes killed at least 10 Palestinians on Friday.
The Al-Qassam Brigades said it will call off an unofficial year-old cease-fire with Israel.
Earlier Friday, Palestinian officials said Israeli shelling of a beach on the Mediterranean coast of the Gaza Strip killed at least seven Palestinians at a picnic, including three children.
The officials also said two Israeli airstrikes in Gaza killed at least three Palestinian militants. The attacks wounded more than 30 people.
Israel's military has ordered a halt to strikes on Gaza while it conducts an investigation. An army spokesman said Israel regrets any harm to innocent civilians.
Israel says it is targeting Palestinian militants who fire rockets from the Gaza Strip at the Jewish state.
