Tropical storm Chanchu is swirling across the South China Sea after killing at least 32 people in the Philippines.
The storm lashed the Philippines Friday and Saturday, destroying hundreds of homes and forcing the evacuation of thousands of people. Twenty-five people died when a ferry sank. Officials say eight people -- most of them fishermen -- are still missing after the storm.
Bad weather also forced organizers to move Monday's meeting of Southeast Asian trade ministers from the Boracay resort to Manila.
