중국 애국 가톨릭 협회의 부회장은, 바오로 페이 준민 신부가 7일 센양 교구의 부주교로 임명됐다고 말했습니다.
교황청과 관련된 한 통신은, 페이 신부의 주교 서임은 베네딕토 교황의 승인을 받은 것이었다고 보도하고 있습니다.
그리고, 중국의 종교 담당 국무처는 두명의 주교 서임 계획을 바티칸측에 통보했으나 교황으로부터 아무런 응답이 없었다면서, 바티칸측의 비난은 “이치에 맞지않는 것”이라고 말했습니다.

Chinese officials say the state's Catholic church has appointed a new bishop, a day after Beijing lashed out at the Vatican for criticizing its unauthorized ordination of two other bishops.
A vice-chairman of the Chinese Patriotic Catholic Association (Liu Bainian) said Father Paul Pei Junmin was named assistant bishop of the northeastern city of Shenyang today (Sunday).
A Vatican-affiliated news agency (AsiaNews) reports that Pei was approved by Pope Benedict. But China's ordination of two other bishops without papal approval last week sparked outrage from the Vatican, which threatened to excommunicate those who took part in the process.
China's State Administration of Religious Affairs said (Saturday) the Vatican's criticism of the appointments "made no sense."
