아시아태평양경제협력체, 에이펙은 조류독감의 인체감염 만연 사태에 대비하고 예방하기 위한 실천계획을 마련했습니다.
에이펙 21개 회원국 각료들은 5일, 베트남 다낭에서 열린 회의에서 국가간 협력과 정부간 정보공유를 통해 조류독감 인체감염 잠재성에 대처하는 것을 골자로하는 실천계획에 합의했습니다.
이 계획은 가금류 생산 방식의 개혁과 조류독감 바이러스의 인체감염 조기탐지 방안강화 등을 포함하고 있습니다.
조류독감 바이러스 인체 감염환자수는2003년 이래 200 여 명에 달했으며 그 대부분이 아시아인이었고 그중 100 여명이 사망했습니다.

Ministers from the 21-nation Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) organization have agreed to a regional action plan to prepare and prevent a major human outbreak of avian flu.
The plan was announced today (Friday) during a three-day APEC conference on bird flu in Danang, Vietnam.
Vietnam Agriculture Minister Cao Duc Phat, co-chaired of the meeting says the member nations agreed the only way to defeat a potential flu epidemic is through cross border cooperation and information sharing between governments.
Specifically, the plan calls for reforming practices in poultry production and promoting early detection of the virus to prevent its spread to humans.
Since 2003, bird flu has infected more than 200 people, most of them in Asia, and more than 100 have died.
