Russia has launched an Israeli reconnaissance satellite into orbit. Russian military officials say the rocket, carrying the Eros-B satellite lifted off from the Svobodny space center in the country's far eastern Amur region.
News reports from Israel say the satellite is designed to improve the country's surveillance of Iran's nuclear program.
