A U.S. table tennis delegation has traveled to China to commemorate the thirty-fifth anniversary of ping-pong diplomacy, the 1971 event that began a thaw in relations between the U.S. and China.
The group of American players and coaches, led by the president of U.S.A. table tennis will play a series of ping pong matches in three Chinese cities: Beijing, Shanghai and Changshu. The delegation includes seven people who took part in the 1971 trip.
