서울대학교는 20일 그같이 결정하고, 또한 복제 연구에 관여한 다른 6명의 교수들에 대해서도 정직 및 감봉 조치를 내렸습니다.
황 교수는 또한 줄기 세포 연구를 둘러싼 스캔들과 관련한 범죄 혐의로 검찰의 수사를 받고 있습니다.

Disgraced South Korean scientist Hwang Woo-suk has been fired by his university for fabricating research on stem cells and violating ethical standards.
Seoul National University said today (Monday) it decided to remove Hwang as a professor. It also punished six other professors who were involved in the cloning project by suspending them or cutting their pay.
A university panel concluded in January that Hwang faked his research in several landmark papers on stem cell technology. Hwang had said he produced a stem cell from a cloned human embryo in 2004. A year later, he said he had created 11 patient-specific stem cells. Hwang is also under investigation by South Korean prosecutors for possible criminal charges related to the stem cell scandal.
