히말라야 왕국, 네팔에서 주요 정당들과 마우쩌둥주의 반군이 기아넨드라 왕의 절대 통치에 반대하는데 협력하기로 합의했습니다.
양측은 19일 회동후 내놓은 성명에서 다음 달 6일을 기해 나흘간의 총파업에 들어갈 것과, 4월 8일 왕에 항의하는 대규모 데모를 벌일 것을 촉구하고 있습니다.
한편, 마우쩌둥주의 반군은 주요 정당들의 촉구에 따라 전국적으로 일상 생활을 마비시키고 있는 6일간의 고속 도로 봉쇄를 끝냈습니다.
네팔의 주요 정당들은, 기아넨드라 왕이 지난 해 초 정부를 해산하고 시민 자유들에 규제를 가하자 왕에 반대하기위해 반군과 느슨한 연합을 형성하고 있습니다. 반군은 네팔 군주제를 공산 정부로 대체하기 원하고 있습니다.
한편, 이들 정당은 반군에게 전국적으로 교통을 마비시키고있는 고속도로 봉쇄를 종식하라고 촉구했습니다.

Nepal's Maoist rebels have called off a six-day road blockade that crippled life across the Himalayan kingdom.
The rebels say they ended the blockade following a new agreement with major political parties to oppose King Gyanendra's absolute rule.
The two sides issued a statement today (Sunday) calling for a four-day general strike starting April 6th. The rebels and the political alliance also agreed to push ahead with mass protests.
The rebels have forged a loose alliance with Nepal's main political parties, which were sidelined when King Gyanendra dissolved the elected government and seized absolute power in February 2005. The king said he had to act because the government had failed to control the Maoist rebellion.
