중국 관영 신화 통신은 독성 가스 유출 사고가 발생한 중국 중부의 한 탄광에서 12일 실종됐던 광부 한 명의 시신이 발견됨에 따라 총 사망자 수가 15명으로 늘었다고 보도했습니다.
중국 탄광들은 세계에서 치명적인 사고가 가장 많이 발생하는 곳으로, 화재와 폭발, 홍수 등으로 연간 5천명 이상의 사망자가 발생하고 있습니다.
안전 규칙에 대한 무관심이나 필요한 장비의 부족이 그같은 사고의 원인으로 지적되고 있습니다.

Chinese state media report the death toll from a poisonous gas leak at a coal mine in central China has risen to 15 after the last missing miner's body was found today (Sunday).
China's coal mines are the world's deadliest, with more than five thousand fatalities a year in fires, explosions, floods and other disasters. The deaths are often blamed on indifference to safety rules of lack of required equipment.
