아프가니스탄 당국자들은 유럽의 정치 만평들이 이슬람교 창시자인 마호메드를 풍자한 것에 항의하는 시위대를 해산시키기 위해서 경찰이 공포탄을 발사하는 과정에서 적어도 1명이 사망했다고 밝혔습니다.

Afghan authorities say at least one person was killed today (Monday) when police fired into the air to disperse demonstrators protesting the depiction of the Prophet Mohammed in European political cartoons.
Officials say at least four others were wounded in the clash in eastern Laghman province, which occurred despite Muslim and Arab leaders' appeal for calm.
The leaders say they condemn the caricatures, but Muslims must show restraint because the violence is as harmful as the cartoons to Islam.
Muslims consider any depiction of Mohammed blasphemous.
The cartoons first appeared in a Danish newspaper in September, and then reprinted in various European cities.
Denmark has urged its nationals to leave Lebanon after protesters burned the Danish consulate Sunday.
Protesters in Syria burned down the Danish and Norwegian embassies in Damascus on Saturday.
